Two local teams will face off in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Netball Championships  this afternoon.

Howick College’s squad has qualified for the NZSS finals for the first time and will go up against reigning champions Saint Kentigern College in the grand final in Rotorua at 1.40pm.

After beating St Hilda’s Collegiate yesterday morning, Howick had only to beat Epsom Girls in the afternoon to progresses to today’s grand final.

St Kents was dominant in its pool and put aside St Mary’s Wellington yesterday afternoon to top its pool and book its place in the grand final with a shot at defending its crown.
